“You can’t get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.” β C. S. Lewis
These sweet, flaky, buttery scones were perfect with tea and a good book. We had some raspberries that we needed to use so we decided to try this recipe from Betty Goes Vegan by Dan & Annie Shannon, page 319. Raspberries and chocolate are a classic combination, and I love how the berries made the scones pink.
Scone Fact: The first scones were baked in cast iron pans hung in the kitchen fires of rural England and Wales.
I can’t believe you were able to photograph that without Leonard eating the butter.
Hee hee, that was a truly difficult task! π
Your settings are so great! They make me want to be there. Almost feel like I am there! Good job. I wish I could do that!
