Welcome to Vegetate! I started this blog as a way to showcase the vegan cooking that my husband Keith and I spend a good part of our weekends enjoying.
Friends and relatives have often asked us what we eat since we are vegan. I’ve usually told them “Everything but animal products.”, which leaves all of the fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes in the world at our disposal, and that is more than enough.
Taking photographs of the meals that we created using the plethora of amazing vegan cookbooks out there and showing them to our loved ones proved to be a more effective answer to that question.
I decided to take this one step further by creating the vegan cooking & food blog that you are now viewing. To this blog I’m adding photographs of the meals that Keith and I have lovingly prepared at home, along with the names of the cookbooks that the recipes were derived from, recipe reviews, and cooking tips.
Cookbooks don’t always have photos of every recipe, so I wanted to share pictures of our meals with you in case you were wondering how a recipe from a particular vegan cookbook without a photo might turn out if you prepared it at home.
Please check back often, as this is an ongoing project that will be updated regularly.
